The Reading Food Pantry is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing hunger and food insecurity in our community by providing free groceries, personal care products, and household essentials to local residents in need. Operating out of the Old South United Methodist Church, it offers drive-through service and delivery options to Reading households, welcoming individuals and families for assistance twice each month without barriers or long waiting lists. In addition to direct food distribution, they engage the community through donation drives, volunteer opportunities, and wish lists for needed items, with the underlying mission that no one in their town should go hungry.
